The Yamazaki Home branding project was a self-started project meant to practice product management and branding.
Yamazaki Home is a Japanese home organization brand targeting adults with a modern, minimalist aesthetic in organization. Their goods range from small organizational containers for cosmetics to shoe racks. In this exercise, I took the existing Yamazaki Home website and practiced creating a layout for a branding guide, writing a creative brief (in support of the creation of the website, pretending it does not already), and creating a competitive audit.
This competitive audit was done on direct and indirect competitors of Yamazaki Home. Next, the branding guide was completed following example branding guide etiquette. Mockups were created in Adobe Photoshop and graphics were taken from Yamazaki Home's website.
Lastly, a creative brief was established to familiarize myself with the technicalities of creating a website from the perspective of a design company or when promising deliverables to clients and/or stakeholders.
